Via Football Shirt Culture (if you squint, you can make out the watermark on the images).

This is supposedly the new Nike USA home shirt, due out next year. What do you think? Good? Bad? Real? Fake?

I need to digest this for a bit before passing judgment. I think this was the site that leaked the last set of jerseys, and they turned out to be the real deal.

Check out our lengthy History of the Modern USA Kit to see how this version stacks up.

Awesome. I hope they have navy shorts with stars on them. Rock the American flag!

Red Hoops are not nearly as pleasing as green hoops. It’ll be like a real-life “Where’s Waldo” search.

Like it…. ‘Mon the Hoops

Seriously it is one of the best kits we have ever EVER had I’ll take it

Love it or hate it, at least it’s unique. Up to now, the National team has looked like England.

I hope that this is just some sort of misunderstanding bc these are just horrible.

This is so unlikely as to strain belief in the Internet. Nike will unveil new kit designs for more than a dozen teams at the World Cup, and they’ve got kits to design for the Euros before that. I bet these, if they ever see the light of day, will be kits for qualifiers, then a new set will arrive just before the Cup.

Also, if the Away shirt if blue with stars, I’ll defect to Canada. Or maybe Greece…

Navy shorts and these will be so baller.

Where does the name of the correctional facility go? In that box on the back?

Matt February 16, 2012 at 10:47 am

When did the US National Team become Doncaster Rovers? These kits are awful. I usually like Nike’s kits but these are just bad.

How about navy jerseys with red shorts? Then white socks. That is more of an “American” or “patriotic” color.

Too many teams already use red as their jersey color. A few countries (like France) use a royal blue color for their jerseys. The USMNT would be the only ones to use NAVY blue. We need our kits not just to look good, but also to be unique.

Brian February 22, 2012 at 11:01 pm

please be fake

Rob Frasher February 28, 2012 at 7:00 pm

hope they are real. Looks like a Red Queens Park Rangers.

nemo February 29, 2012 at 11:38 pm

does any one know when this jersey will go out for sale?

This make us look more like England, not less. US has always worn blue as oppose to red and we should move on the grounds of fashion. Almost all of our international teams stick to blue as a primary, and I’m not a fan of this move towards red.

MoMo March 19, 2012 at 12:03 pm

OMG I hope that isnt true. Thats just pure garbage and i would be ashamed that my national team would be wearing them.

Im sure Nikes goal of updating the kit is to urge people to buy new ones, but that design would fail on all fronts.

What number are they gonna the new guy? I think his name is Waldo.
Can the USA have a national team uniform colors that are unique and recognizable, like Brazil and Mexico and France and Netherlands and….

DK April 16, 2012 at 6:31 pm

You guys are all stupid!!! The red and white stripes are our flag…LOVE THEM

archiegemmill April 16, 2012 at 6:58 pm

Yes guys, YOU MUST LOVE EVERYTHING WITH STARS AND/OR STRIPES PLASTERED ON THEM!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

tgh24 April 17, 2012 at 7:38 am

can you say Candy Canes? Nike has come up with some dogs for the USNT, but this is one of the worst. Why couldn’t we just stay with the diagonal sash…it signifies the legeacy of the ’50′s team and is iconic for the U.S. Last kits were great, couldn’t find the blue kit so popular. Argentina has the blue and white vert, holland is organge, brazil canary, italy azurri…wish U.S. would stick with red white and blue basic and the iconic diagonal sash…yet again, Nike ruining the NT…bring brack the brand with three stripes!
